Memorand: That Edward Tilson of the Town of Plymouth Doth acknowlidge that for and in Consideration of soe much as wherwith hee the said Edward Tilson is fully satisfyed and

payed; hee hath freely and absolutely barganed and sould unto Walter Hatch of Scittuate all that his pte and portion of land which as a townsman of Plymouth appertained to him lying att Punkateesett and places adjacent with all and singulare the appurtenances and privilidges belonging therunto with all the said Edward Tilson his Right title and Interest of and into the said ptmises; To have and to hold the said pte or portion of land with all and singulare the privilidges appurtenances and emunities belonging therunto or to any pte or pcell therof unto the said Walter hatch his heires and assignes for ever; unto the onely proper use of him the said Walter hatch hee his heires and assignes for ever;

On 15 September, 1665, James Cudworth, Thomas Kinge, John Cushen and Joseph Tilden took An Inventory of the goods and Chattles which Leiftenant James Torrey was seased of when bee Departed out of this Life and it was exhibited to the Court held aft Plymouth the 11th of october 1665, on the oath of mistris Ann Torrey Widdow No real estate was included.

[p. 44] The will of WiIlam hatch Junir: of Scittuate late Deceased in Verginnia was dated 13 September, 1653, and probated 4 May, 1657. Bequests were as follows:
Willam hatch of Scittuate .... being upon a Journey to Vergtnta .... give unto Phebee My Daughter the one halfe of my estate .... to bee paid to her in the yeare 1668 and likewise to see her provided for in the mean time that shee want Nothinge; All the rest of my goods lands and tennements I give unto Abigaill my wife whom I make my agent and exequitrix
I Gorge Sutton Doe Testitfy that I received this of Willam hatch Signed and Sealed and hee told mee it was his owne Act and Deed"
I James Torrey Doe Testify that I received this of Gorge Sutton and hee told mee hee received it of Willam hatch signed and sealed;
The oath of James Torrey aged 44 or therabouts taken before rnee Timothy hatherley this 25th of Aprill 1657
[p. 451] An inventory of the estate of Willam hatch Junir was taken at Scituate 11 April, 1657, by Edward Jenkens and Thomas Turner. The real estate was: a Dwelling house and barne and orchyard and eight acres More or lesse of upland 3 acres of marsh and a peece of Swamp £20; five acres of marsh £8.

ABIGAIL, b. say 1633; m. (1) by 1653 William Hatch ("Phebe the daughter of William Hatch" was bp. Scituate 19 March 1653/4 [NEHGR 57:84; Joseph Neal Anc 118]); m. (2) Weymouth 14 October 1658 John King (the bride's surname in the published version of this marriage record is given as "Haty," presumably a simple misreading of the terminal "ch").
ROGER, b. Salem say 1628 "being the first born child in Salem" [STR 1:98]; m. before 22 January 1661[/2] Elizabeth _____ (her child baptized at Salem on that date "upon the letter from the Church at Corke testifying of her membership there" [SChR 93]).
SARAH, b. New England say 1623 (named in grandmother's will in 1627 [NEHGR 147:239]); m. John Leach (apparently mother of Mary Leach called kinswoman in will of Lot Conant [EQC 5:432], and probaby the family of which Roger Conant says "my daughter Sarah, her son John, and four daughters" in his will).
