Notes for John ADAMS

[Famtree.ftw]

John and Ellen were both "strangers," that is, they did not come with any
religious sect. John arrived at Plymouth on the "Fortune" 9 Nov 1621
from Middlesex, Ellen in July or August, 1623 on the "Anne". The
passengers on the first Three ships to arrive at plymouth - "Mayflower",
"Fortune", and "Anne" - were known as "First comers and Planters" or
"Forefathers."

As John had but one acre allotted to him in 1623, he was either single or
his family did not come with him.

His grave is unmarked so as not to reveal the number of deaths to the
Indians.

Occupation(s): joiner, carpenter, woodworker.
