The Way God Gets

Our Attention

We can be busy with a person, doing chores, etc., but when "God" is saying something to us and we are walking in the "Spirit" with Him, we know in our hearts that He is talking to us.

****Different Means That God Gets Our Attention Are:****

1. Unanswered Prayers

2. Unusual Circumstances - both bad and good

3. An Unsolicited Word From Another Person

4. A Restless Spirit

****Restless Spirit****

A restless spirit is an attention - getter at times. Our conscience is based upon our understanding of right and wrong and the truth is always found in the Bible.

Sometimes a person needs to hear exactly what they need to hear and it hits us between the eyes. Some people don't realize that this is God's way of speaking directly to us.

Our unusual circumstances must be treated like a restless spirit. Or else when there is an out pouring in our life God maybe wants us to do something with it.

At times when we have a restless spirit God is also trying to direct you. It is not a case of nerves. When you have this kind of feeling it is best to pray to God and ask what he is trying to say. Set time to quiet yourself with God.

****Words From Others****

We sure do not like to hear about sin and consequences.

At times we do not pay attention when people give compliments or words of approval and appreciation.

When one cannot take criticism or reproof, that person is headed for failure. When people do this at times god is trying to get our attention off our pity party for ourselves.

Also you must watch that people do not lead you astray with threats, flattery, or even Scriptures. When there is a message from God look closely at what they are saying then go to Gods Word and ask God to speak to you directly.

****Circumstances****

God does bring circumstances in our lives to get our attention to Him.

**Some circumstances would be:**

1. Disappointments

2. Divorces

3. Failures

4. Bankruptcies

5. Accidents

At times we say "Why Me God". Have you ever thought to ask God instead "What is it you are trying to say to me "Dear Lord".

God has special plans for us to use any blessings that he gives us.

****Prayers Not Answered****

At times we feel that God is not answering our prayers and we are desperate to hear from Him. There are several reasons in the Scriptures why we are not granted the answers.

**Here Are Some Reasons**

1. In James 4:3 - At times we ask for the wrong reasons

2. In 1 John 3:22 - The person might be rebellious or disobedient

3. In 1 John 5:14 - At times we ask for something out of the will of God

4. In Matt. 6:14 - 15 - If we do not forgive another person

Prayers are not answered at times because it is for our own good. God does not want us to stray any further to the bad way of life.

***Sometimes "NO" is the best answer for our situation.***

****There Is No Such Thing As An Accident****

God has plans and purposes for our lives. Even with bad things happening in our lives God continues to work in our lives all the time.

This is when we reach up to God to lift us up, Speak His Words, and hold us close.

God nevers stops trying to get our attention to come to him. He loves us very much.
