How God Speaks
To Us
There are different ways that God used to speak to his people througout the ages. In bible times there are eight ways God spoke to His people.
They Are:
1. The Holy Spirit
2. Jesus Christ
3. Angels
4. Circumstances
6. Written Words
7. Dreams
8. Direct Revelation
"God does not speak to us through ***Astrology*** or ***Fortune-Tellers***. This is an abomination to God."
"God does not speak to us through ***Occult*** practices"
Not all dreams are a direct message to us or be shared with others. Visions and dreams are at God's initiative.
"The Prophets Words"
Prophets told what was wrong in the people's hearts and that without repentance, certain conclusions were inevitable.
A prophet is a person who speaks the truth of God to others. Sometimes it is specific truth about particular circumstances and other times it is the telling of what God's Word says.
God still talks today through evangelists, Bible Study, preachers and teachers. You have to be very careful in discerning who is telling us the truth today. Another means of discernment is evidence. What a Prophet says, happens. If that person tells us that God will do something, then it must come to past and if it doesn't, then that person is a false prophet.
Angelic Messages
"Angel" means ***Messenger From God***
God sends Angels at His will for His purpose. His Angels come to people uninvited, unannounced and unexpectedly. They appeared throughout the Scriptures and appear to people who are isolated from fellowship and have no other means of hearing God's message.
Angels are "Ministering Spirits". God sends Angels to help us and only come at God's choosing. Angels are "Servants" of God.
If you have any doubt what God wants you to do in a situation or how to respond, look to Jesus and Imitate Him.
The Holy Spirit
God speaks to each believer by His Holy Spirit. God's presence within us leads, guides, encourages, corrects, and challenges us.
