My wife's great grandmother. Freda Myers (Meyer), was born in Germany about 1850. We believe she had a brother Charles Meyer (Meyer), born abt 1860. Freda married F. I'm just beginning to delve into my MYERS line, so know very little. My gggfather was Elizo MYERS, b. Jan 1950 in either AL or TN. in 1869 he married Louise GRIFFITH, b. Oct. 3, 1850 in Gilmer Co. I've just started my search. I know my dad's name was George Henry Myers. He was born May 3, 1924 in Mississippi. He lived in Detroit for some time, but I'm not sure how long. His dad was Chatman Myers and his mother was Rosie Myers (maiden name Ward). e was an only child. My mom married George in Milwaukee, WI in 1960 or 1961 (I'm not sure). He passed away in May, 1988.

I am descended from a Polish middle class family. My Grandmother, Anna-Maria Meyer lived in Poznan, moved to Scotland in the forties. The rest of her family had already emigrated to the States early 1900's. Anna-Maria was forced to work as an interpreter for the Germans. Hello, we are just beginning our Myers line research and wonder if anyone has any connection or information on the following. My grandmother (now deceased) was a Myers and we know very little about that side of our family. Here is what we do have; CHARL S H MYERS (b. abt 1866, d. 1913 Meshoppen, PA) married CORNELIA TEETSEL (b. 1877, d. 1925, Endicott, NY). Their children were: JAMES, HERBERT, PAULINE, MILDRED, FRANCES, & MARY ELIZABETH MYERS, born 1905 married Harold Rodgers. Charles & Cornelia are bu ied in Meshoppen. Charles was a stonecutter and my uncle said he believes the Myers may have come from somewhere near the Hudson River area of NY. Appreciate any information.
