Comments: Thanks for providing a Myers website!Looking for other Myers researchers searching Wilkinson Co., GA Myers. William A W Myers b. 1815 in SC m. Sarah McCook(or Moye?) and lived in Wilkinson Co. until 1852. They then relocated to Irwin Co. where family remains to this day.

Comments: I am looking for the parents of John Marshal VAUGHT. He was born in 1821 in AL and died on 14 Jan 1873 in Williamson Co. TX. He was married to Mary BOWERS who was born 28 Jan 1827 in TN and died 17 May 1906 in Williamson Co. TX. I believe both lived tothe end of their lives in the town of Liberty Hill and they were buried in the Liberty Hill Cem. I have tried to connect him to Henry VAUGHT (b. 1783 in Mont. Co. VA and m. Catheren WHITENBARGER) but I have not found his will to get an idea of some proo.

Comments: My Myers roots are in the mid 19th century in New Jersey. My great grandfather’s first wife was Julia Ann Myers the daughter of Philip and Levinia Lott Myers. Eleazer’s sister, Elizabeth, married Julia’s brother John. Eleazer’s daughter, Eva Virginia Garder, married a Phillip Myers ( I don’t know if she was related to the other Myers or not).Surnames included in the family tree are Apgar, Bradbury, Cottrell, Gardner, King, Lacock, Lott, McKenna, Miflin, and Seevers.

They settled in the area of Woodstock, VA and had many children. The girls married proessional men and went to other southern states. Grandson John Myers m. Rachel Rosebrock, 3 Oct 1811, Fred. Co., VA, Their son Wm. R Myers m. Matilda Ann Gividon/Givodan? c. 1834, reportedly m. in Marietta, OH (not found). 1850 Census, Lawrence Co. KY ists Wm R. Myers 38, shoemaker & Matilda Ann 32,(both b. VA), Rachel Ann, 15 b. OH, Wm. V. 9, Mary J. 7 (both b. VA), Martin F. 5 & Romane M. 2 (both b. KY) In 1857 Geo Eby was b. KY and legend says Woodson (not found). Wm. & Matilda died c. 1859 (don'tknow where or when). Rachel m. Thomas Sargent>MN. Wm. V. is listed on the 1870. Law. Co. Louisa Pct. 28 with Manerva 24 Wm. H. 4 & Lida V. 9/12. Mary J. may = Julia McHenry who died in Wakefield, OH. Martin was Civ. War Pvt. m. America Mansfield WV, Romane listed on 1880 Census Law. Co. with Hutchison, Joseph 31, Haivey 9. Elwood 8, Trinney 5, Cora 2 & Georgia 6/12. Geo. Eby (my gdad)>MN w. Rachel>WA m. Florence Wilson>OR.
