Tina, You've made many improvements! Links like Karen's Koncepts
are very useful. Re: your regrouping. My primary Myers state has
to be KY, where I have the most hard data, Census, etc., but they
and/or their parents came from VA, usually before 1850. ome moved
from VA to OH to KY to OH to WV, etc. So, in order of priority,
I'd want to list KY, VA, OH & WV. Now that by itself is
helpful, but not nearly as much as: KY (1830-1900), VA
(1737-1880), OH (1820-1860) & WV (1810-1880). When searching
various ists such as Genforum, I don't bother to stop unless I
have surname, locale and dates. Another thing for you to
consider, I predict Genforum will surpass Rootsweb in
members/users because their format allows for such flexibility. I
can use an improved v riation on the Rootsweb formula: Myers VA
1737-1850>KY 1830-1880>OH c1860, or I can use Shryock-Myers
VA 1850, Myers-Griffen VA 1802. (I've not tested it to see if I
can squeeze in that many characters in the heading). The
two-surnames proved very product ve finding relatives in the
Frederick Co. VA area. From a list of marriages I posted the two
above (and many more ) under Myers, Shryock and Griffen. I got
great hits. Finally, the thing which Genforum has that beats
rootsweb by a mile is the ability to heck out the message on the
spot. If you can offer all of the above in your redesign of your
site, you will have a very useful and popular one. Keep up the
great work. A. J.
