My Dedication to the Indescribably Wonderful Wheat Pack

My family went to Queensland,
And Grandma came to stay,
Up there it was warm and sunny,
Down here it was cold and grey.

I shivered in my bed at night,
In spite of all my padding,
Grandma shook her head at me,
And said,”There’s something lacking!”

She searched all through her suitcase,
Then held aloft with joy,
What I could only imagine,
Was a rather odd-shaped toy!

She placed it in the microwave,
I heard a beeping sound,
Then I saw that funny thing inside it,
Going round and round!

She took it out and
Gently placed it in my box,
I peered at it then sniffed it twice,
And walked around it lots!

To my delight I found it warm,
And I lay on it with joy,
This pile of wheat and lavender,
Wrapped up in corduroy!

Now I go to bed at night,
All curled up in a ball,
I wait with anticipation,
To hear the microwave’s call!

When Amy brings it over,
I jump and shout with glee,
I spread out over the wheat pack,
As happy as can be.

How to make your own ‘Indesribably Wonderful Wheat Pack’.

For all you caring human-dogs out there, my master Amy has given me the instructions.

You will need:
Some corduroy, some wheat, and some lavender to make it smell nice.
cut two rectangles of the same size from the cord, 35x18cm is recommended, but you can make it any size you wish. Pin cord together right side facing, and sew around three sides, leaving one of the ends open. Turn right way out and fill bag 2/3 full of wheat and lavender (not too much lavender, though.). Sew the last end together and there you have it- a wheat pack!
To heat:
Place in microwave and cook on HIGH for 1 ½ to 2 minutes. DO NOT overheat.
These wheat backs are wonderful for you human-dogs also, they keep you warm and snug in bed, and they help with back pain and stomach cramps.
