Come Out, Muskrats

by Jim Arnosky

Come Out, Muskrats by Jim Arnosky is a Lake County Public Library Recommended book for Kindergarten through Third Grade.

There is really no story to this book. It does explain about the muskrat and how it lives in the waters. Small children are introduced to life in a stream: cattails, lily pads, and green water weeds.

Rating:

This book is probably a good book for children who have not yet gone to pre-kindergarten and are starting to become interested in books. There are nice drawings on each page that illustrate the muskrats living patterns. The book is no longer available from the publisher, but it is probably available at your public library.
