Hog-Eye is a 1997-98 Hoosier Nominee for Kindergarten through
Third Grade.
It is a story about a little pig who doesn't like her school bus #37.
One day she walked slowly to the bus stop, and after she got on the
bus, she found out it was the wrong one. When the bus driver let her
out, she decided to take a short cut through the forest instead of
using the main road. That was when a mean wolf grabbed her and took
her to his cave to make pig soup.
Will the pig escape or will she be Mr. Big Bad Wolf's dinner tonight?
This book is great because it teaches safety: safety in not taking
short cuts, safety in not talking to strangers. It explains what
can happen when you break the safety rules. It can be purchased
