FIRST GENERATION

1. John SOUDER was born about 1740. He died in 1817 in Bedford Co., PA. His birth year is an estimate.  His origins are unknown. There are sources of uncertain reliability reporting that his children may have been born in NJ, VA, MD and/or England.  The first known record in Bedford County PA (now Fulton Co.) is his Land Warrant of 1793, on Ditch Run at the MD state line.  His will names Henry as son;  a codicil names Elizabeth Hull and Margaret Myers as daughters;  no one else is named.

John SOUDER had the following children:

+2 i. Henry SOUDERS.
+3 ii. Elizabeth SOUDERS.
+4 iii. Margaret SOUDERS.
