Horace Souder

Horace Souder, 84, of Lexington, Ky, died Saturday at Lexington Manor. He was a native of Owen
County, Ky. Surviving are his wife, Anna Mabel Ransdell Souder; two sons, John Souder of Alexandria,
Va., and Charles Souder of Crittenden; a daughter, Patsy Forwe of Tampa, Fla.; a sister, Beatrice Jones of
Owenton; and three grandchildren. Burial will be in Owenton Cemetery.

Elva Poe Souder

Mrs. Elva Poe Souder, 83, Corinth, died April 7, 1976 at Woodpoint Nursing Home, Florence. She was a
native of Grant County and member of the Bethany Baptist Church. Survivors are a daughter, Mrs.
Mondela True, Corinth; a grandson, Charles Ray True, Corinth; three great grandchildren; one sister, Mrs.
Cora Osborne, Latonia; two brothers, Ludie Poe, Florence, and Thurman Poe of Williamstown. Burial in
Holbrook Cemetery.

Clarence C. Souder

Clarence C. Souder, 80, resident of Parkview Manor, Williamstown, died August 6, 1981 at his residence.
He was a member of the Williamstown Baptist Church. Survivors are his wife of 52 years, Mrs. Ada
Taylor Souder; three sons, Clarence Jr. of Cincinnati, John of Dry Ridge and Gilbert of Edgewood; three
daughters, Mrs. Callie Barnett, Mrs. Christine Scroggin and Mrs. Ada Skirvin of Williamstown; two
brothers, Guy of Dallas Texas, John of Detroit; and sister Iva Taylor of Cincinnati. Burial in Williamstown
Cemetery, Williamstown, Ky.

Howard Sowder

Howard Sowder of Williamstown, Ky. lived long enough to have the distinction of being the oldest resident
of the town - and probably the oldest resident in Grant County. Not only that, he was the oldest member of
the Williamstown United Methodist Church. Mr. Souder died Saturday at Carroll County Hospital at age
102. Survivors are a daughter, Grace Osborne of Williamstown; sons, Cecil Sowder of Dry Ridge, and
Harold Sowder of Erlanger; thirteen grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. Burial was in
Williamstown Cemetery.

Willie Souder

Willie W. Souder, 83, of Williamstown, Ky., died November 20, 1982 at Grant County Hospital. He was a
retired Grant County farmer and a member of Stewartsville Baptist Church. He and his wife, former Lizzie
Burgess, were married 61 years. Other survivors are sons, W. J. and David E. Souder, both of
Williamstown, and Sanford Souder of Wilmington, Ohio; daughter, Kathryn Moore of Mt. Vernone;
brothers, Kirtley Souder of Williamstown, and Herman Souder of Dry Ridge; sister, Susie Coovert of
Barboursville, W. Val; 14 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren. Burial in Williamstown Cemetery.
