7. James² Ballou (Maturin¹) was born in Providence, RI 1652. James died 1741 in Smithfield, RI.

He married Susanna Whitman in Providence, RI, 7/25/1683. Susanna was born in Providence, RI 2/28/1657/8. She was the daughter of Valentine Whitman and Mary unknown. Susanna died 1754 in Smithfield, RI.

James Ballou and Susanna Whitman had the following child:
