He married Eleanor Worden in prob. Plymouth, MA, about 1625. Eleanor was born in Plymouth, MA 1598. She was the daughter of Peter Worden Sr and Mary unknown. She married Kenelm Winslow in Barnstable or Plymouth, MA, 6/1634. She married unknown Newton. Eleanor died 12/5/1681 in Brewster, MA or Marshfield, MA. Her body was interred 12/5/1681 in Marshfield, MA.

John Adams and Eleanor Worden had the following children:

3 i. James³ Adams was born c 1626.

4 ii. John Adams was born c 1629.

5 iii. Susan or Susannah Adams was born c 1631.
