9. John⁴ Tilson (Edmund³, Ephraim², Edmund¹) was born 11/19/1692. John died 3/1729/30 at 207 years of age.

He married Joanna Dunbar in Hingham, MA, 1/6/1713/4. Joanna was born in Hingham, MA 4/3/1692. She was the daughter of Joseph Dunbar and Christian Garnet. She married William Sturtevant 6/25/1747. Joanna died 3/27/1756 in Halifax, MA, at 63 years of age.

John Tilson and Joanna Dunbar had the following children:

11 i. Joseph⁵ Tilson was born in Plympton, MA 10/24/1714.

12 ii. Benjamin Tilson was born in Plympton, MA 8/10/1716.

13 iii. Mercy Tilson was born in Plympton, MA 5/2/1719.

14 iv. Joanna Tilson was born in Plympton, MA 2/21/1724.

15 v. John Tilson Jr. was born in Plympton, MA 11/1/1725.

16 vi. Ephraim Tilson was born in Plympton, MA 11/21/1728.

17 vii. Mary Tilson was born in Plympton, MA 12/21/1729. Mary died 10/10/1816 at 86 years of age. She married twice. She married Abner Cushman in Halifax, MA, 2/6/1745/6. Abner was born in Plympton, MA 3/18/1722. He was the son of Moses Cushman and Mary Jackson. (See Abner Cushman for the continuation of this line.) She married James Faunce 7/17/1777.
