Kristen's Poetry

Welcome to my poetry page. All of the poems, so far, are of my own creations. Because they are poems I write from my heart and soul I would ask that they not be stolen for your sites. Thank you. I have been writing poetry for quite a number of years now. Some of my favorite poets include Emily Dickenson and Edgar Alan Poe. I have many more but those are the two who have inspired me the most. You might see that inspiration in some of my poems in their form and content. I love writing poetry and write from my soul, my desires, thoughts, fears, and aspirations. I truly hope you enjoy reading them as much as I love creating them. I hope you find some of them uplifting and maybe bring a little tear to your eye. Thanks for visiting and enjoy. Don't forget to sign my guestbook and let me know what you thought of my poems.

With you I see myself in a sea of blue passion
Eternal lust and forgotten thoughts
The water rising through my soul drowns my fears
We're not two but together as one
Separated not by our surroundings
But pulled together by fire, earth, and water
Blend together with the fifth
Surrounded by the spirit
Together as one.
I stand alone, the center of the universe
Silver seas passing by
dancing before my fingertips
The hourglasses of time see life inside my eyes
Angels danced along the sand
Awaiting the time to see you again.

Looking in your eyes
Is like looking through a window back in time
Universes seem so far away yet they are so close
Somewhere in time our universes collide
What remains is only a star
It brightens the winter nights bringing memories
Of a "Once Upon A Time"
A reality so frightening yet
I do not dare look away.
What was it that one word
Who was it that one sign
Who grabbed me from my mind
Why is it that you have come
So I ask myself so softly
When is it that you will leave
My ind now shattered and spun
That is what you wanted
Yet not to damn devine,

Like fire that likes to burn
Of angels sing a sweet song
Like spring kisses the rain
Of Gods kneel before
To dance on rose petals
To bless the wind
If ever there were a sweeter face
If ever there a kinder heart
To die slowly
Like the sunset in your eyes
Of lives once touched
Of souls once blesses
To time
I forgive thee.
In all my sadness;
In all my fears;
In all my time;
In all my tears;
A thousand lights in the sky remind me;
I'm not alone.
There is a place between heaven and earth;
Where our souls are bound.
There is a place with no light;
There is a place with no sound;
In our hearts we have found;
A place where spirits cry.
If life come with endless wonder;
Then you my dear have shown me something so tender.

To a life with an essence of it's own;
Be kind to your heart;
be kind to your soul;
Honor the love that has become you evermore;
Behold;
Be bold;
Speak softly in the darkest nights;
Put thought into triumphant fights;
Be kind to your heart;
Be kind to your soul;
Your galaxy awaits you evermore
Do not look into my eyes as if to see something we both know is not there
Do not stand outside my door awaiting my arrival when we both know I shall not return
For more than mere moments you stood in silence yet before you spoke you did not listen
It is you who brought me here
It is you who regrets it
Do not burn my presence with the knowledge of what is past
Take your absent mind away
For I am better off standing nowhere then here with you

They circle in the night
With their eyes locked ike steel chains
Every step a sharp pain
Every step further into solitude
"I brought to you what you yourself
Could only ask for"
"You brought me that,
But you forgot I never asked for anything more"
One slow step further
Just inches from the spark
I could fell it in the air
I could feel it in the dark
"If my eyes could speak"
"If only you I could keep"
Their hearts are the same
From just one
Destiny will hold only the
Chains for so long
But neither will admit
They are both alone
As I crept into a dimly lit room
Within barren walls
I had forgotten what my heart desired
Most at that moment
At first instinct, I softly walked
To the center of the room
As if something were drawing me there
My eyes slowly scanned the room
Every inch, every space told a story
Every space drew a tear
I remember the painting as it hung there
Peacefully and gracefully ...
So perfectly in its own little space
Now burned at the corners
I stepped closer to notice somewhere
In her heart she was crying
It was the sharp contrast
Between fiction and reality
I think that tore at my heart
Every brush stroke held a memory
That needed to be forgotten
He placed it on the canvas so delicately
As if every drop of paint
Were a black pearl
So precious, so precious
And so rare
The spell of the artist had caught me
And my mind fought to release
My eyes from this palette
As if they were bound by chains
When I managed to tear free
I felt a piece of me stay there
Forever that painting
Would never leave my heart

Fire of the deepest flame
I kneel before you in shame
Dear pure water
Forgive me as I meant no hard
Please earth bless me with your strength
Though I know I deserve none
And to air
I give what I have left
Only my spirit
It was a gift that I know I no longer deserve
Forgive me elements of the soul
For without you
I am no longer whole
Plainly pieces
Nothing more
