A Golden Moment
By Cyndi

I am on cloud 9. It was one of the best nights of my life!!! I just can't say enough about it, it was a perfect night!

Oh my goodness, Kristi skated and hosted. Everything she did was so beautiful! I love her so  much more after last night. She skated alot, so I can't remember the names of the songs, but she did skate to that Sarah Brightman song. [Time To Say Goodbye]

The very first thing, someone announced Kristi, then she came out in this unbelievable gown: pink beaded on top, the bottom was like taffata, beautiful full length gown. She looked amazing!!!  She talked alot about breast cancer. She also said in her opening that everyone was going to feel so good when they leave, and they did. It was unreal!

Everyone that talked was either a victim or had someone in their life that was. So it was very moving. There was alot of talking, I think more talk than skating.

Kristi fell in her first number, in the right corner. She wore a  pink beaded top and a cute little pink shiffon skirt! That's what she fell in, poor thing.  Then Katia skated next and she fell on the same spot too. In intermission, Kristi wanted to skate that part over for tv. Everyone felt so bad for her. She looke so beautiful though, in everything she wore.

Katia skated so beautifully! She fell only one time! You can tell she has been working so hard! She skated second, right after Kristi, and that's when she fell. The ice was just wet, you know, and it was where Kristi fell. Anyway, she skated in a navy or royal blue top and sheer light blue on the bottom to the orchestra playing some classical instrumental song. It was so beautiful! It had the feel of celebration of a life song. She did all the footwork, we love from her, the graceful arms and hands, and more jumps than anyone else.

Then the second number Katia did was in a maroon or red and coral colored costume, I think. She did a tango, with so much speed, spirals that last forever and such attention to details (unlike me LOL)

Isabelle and Lyold skated, and they were awesome as usual! I forgot the name of that song too, and it was a favorite of mine!

Oh, Katerina Witt skated to that german song "I Wanna Be..." something? And the band played in person, Bell, Brass and Bottle or something is their name. I remember that, haha! [It was Bell, Book and Candle!! LOL]

Scott Hamilton talked and he got a standing ovation!! He was so cute as usual, but he didn't skate though.

And oh my goodness, Taylor Dayne was soooo great, I can't believe it. She was awesome!! She was one of the best things. You wouldn't believe it, when she sang I looked at the crowd and it seemed like not one person was into it?? No one was even clapping or moving to the music, very weird!!

You wouldn't believe the dresses that Taylor Dayne and Sarah Brightman wore! They both wore black. Taylor had a black, sleeveless v-neck top with a beautiful black, sheer, stretchy long skirt with a little train in the back. It was so pretty and she is so thin! And Sarah, wore this black, even more sheer, see-through, long skirt. On top, I didn't see much, because her hair covered most of it. But she looked very beautiful too, and thin as well. They were knockouts!!

Roz Sumners, skated beautiful. She wore a black, v-back outfit. Tara, also skated great as usual. She skated a Sarah Brightman song.

Oh my gosh, at the closing number, the five girls (Kristi, Katia, Kat, Roz and Tara) did this song, and it was beautiful. They were all in white. They skated and looked just like little angels! It made me cry, it was that beautiful. They skated to a song, performed by the orchestra and it was so quiet, they were angels! They were all about the same height, except Kat of course.

Sorry, I don't have much details, I wish I could have just sat back and enjoyed the show, but instead, I was shooting pictures the whole evening. But it was exciting!!

It was an experience I know, no one that was there will ever forget!!
