Hey everyone,

I don't usually write much on this board,,,,,,,,although i do enjoy reading everyone's posts. But today i decided to write a review of the show because it was awesome!!!!!!!! I actually was not planning to go to the show this year because i'm totally broke and my parents would not give me any money. But when Friday came and I knew that the SOI is gonna be in my city, not too far away from me, it made me really sad and i decided that i will do anything to get the tickets and go. Right after school, i went with my friend to Tower Records and bought the tickets, without telling anything to my parents. (I knew they would be pissed if i told them that i got tickets, but at that moment i didn't care.) I was  so excited to go, and it was well worth it.

When we arrived there, there were already a lot of people, but the showdidn't start yet. After a few minutes, the lights were turned off and theshow started. The beginning was just great. The costumes, the lightening, theskaters, everything was so beautiful. The skaters were introduced while theyskated around. Tara Lipinski was the last one to be introduced and then she
started to skate to some music (sorry i forgot to which one). After that more skaters came out and danced. It was so beautiful. Katia and Kristi skated together in the beginning and they looked so much alike. They r both small, and from far away it was hard to tell who is who. But of course, being a figure skating fan i could tell them apart. Katia and Kristi, both looked so lovely and skated in unison. I just loved that number. In the beginning Katia got the loudest applause. She is loved by everyone, almost. Her ribbon program was amazing. I thought it was beautiful on TV, but boy in person it's just amazing. She didn't do any triple jumps, and only did a double lutz, a single axle with her ribbon around her, but still the number was just magic. Ilia skated right after her, and did great also. I thought the music really suited him, with lots of difficult tricks. He also landed a lot of difficult jumps, including triple lutz and triple flip. He didn't do triple axle, but still,,,,,,wow! Ilia's other program with a baseball hat was not as great, but i still liked it. You can tell that i am an Ilia fan also, right? :)

I was waiting all night for Katia's and Ilia's pairs number and it was well worth it. In the beginning when Katia just started skating alone, before Ilia came, she tripped and fell, but got back up and skated like nothing happened. Their skating is just magical, and I couldn't take my eyes off of them. By now, i saw that number hundred of times on tv and i knew pretty much every move that they would do. Katia seemed so happy during that number, and i was happy for her. She really feels alive skating pairs. I hope she will do more of it in the future.

Some other highlights of the show:

Tara skated both her Genie in the Bottle  program and  American Woman  program. I was not expecting to see American Woman program since many of you said that she hasn't skated it in other cities. I really dunno why she hasn't skated it in other cities, but the number was just amazing. Tara can really dance. She is not shy at all, unlike me.....I would just die being in front of so many people. Her Genie in the Bottle program was also great, although she fell on a triple loop.

Kristi Yamaguchi was also great. She also skated two solo numbers, one Bridge Over Troubled Water and the other one is the really fast one that she skated in Ice Wars (i forgot what it's called). The number was awesome, i really like that song, although i don't remember the name of it. LOL Kristi is such a great skater,,,,,,,,after all these years, she still skates with so much speed, and artistry. Her jumps look as good as they did when she was an amature. She landed the most triple jumps of all skaters, including beautiful triple lutz. She is great.

Scott Hamilton,,,,,,,,well there r not enough words to describe him. Just amazing skater. He is so funny that i was cracking up every time i saw him. His ballerina number was hilarious, with beautiful triple jumps, and awesome spins. He did jump on the rope during that number and it seemed like he would hit someone, but i don't think he did. He got the loudest applause.

Other skaters that got loudest applause were Elena Bechke and Denis Petrov.They skated to Russian music and it was great. They r so fast in real live,,,,,,,wow. Knowing that it was their last year, i felt a little sad,because they r really great skaters.

Steven Cousins is so cute. I loved that number that he skated with Kristi and Lu Lu. It was funny, and adorable at the same time. I wish i could meet him one day. Wow he smile is adorable. He does not stop smiling throughout the show. :)

Kurt was sooooooo funny,,,,,,,,my smile was on everytime he stepped on the ice. His Clown number is unbelievable live. He can put on a show with any kind of music. When he skated with Tara pairs, he was also so funny, and cute. He lifted her so many times like she weights 20 pounds. :)

Over all the show was just awesome. It ended at 10:30pm, but by the time i came home it was already 11:30pm. I called from the bart station to my parents to tell them that i am going home. (My parents didn't know that i went there, i told them that i will be at my friend's house till 11pm and then will come home. Well since the show ended so late, i came home late. When i called at the bart station, my dad was so pissed, he was like, "You r not going anywhere, ever, again." I was so so scared to come home afterwards, thinking that i will get in huge trouble. But when i came home and told my dad where i was,,,,,,,,he was like, "Oh, ok, you should have told me." And that's it. I was so happy, i had a lot of fun and didn't get in trouble. I couldn't sleep all night afterwards. I was so excited that i got a chance to see it. The show was awesome!!!!!!! Even my friend who is not really into figure skating that much, said that she loved it. So if u r thinking if u should go let me tell u: GO!!!!!!!!!

Sorry, my post was so long, i just had a lot on my mind. I hope all of u who didn't go to the show yet, will enjoy it. I know u will. It was great.
