Slime
Ages: 7 and up with adult supervision.
You will need:
1 cup white glue
1 1/2 cups warm water
zippered food storage bag
food coloring
1 tablespoon borax
paper cup
yogurt container
Mix one cup of white glue with 1 cup of warm water in the food storage bag. Add 8 drops of food coloring to the mix (green is the traditional color).
In a paper cup, mix 1/2 cup of warm water with the tablespoon of borax.
Mix the contents of the bag and the cup thoroughly and pour the contents of the paper cup into the bag. Mix until the mixture reaches a gooey consistency and there is no more liquid in the bag. If a clump of borax forms in the bag, squeeze it between two fingers to loosen up the clump.
Slimy Tips: You can keep the slime in a yogurt container to help prevent it from drying out. Moisten the container lid each time your child puts the slime away to help keep the container humid.
