Color key: I used red for the flowers in front, green for roof and leaves, white for door, gray for steps, green for shutters, yellow for siding, brown for the chimney and light gray for window screens.  Backstitch was done in brown. The symbols don't show up well on the printout but the colors are really personal choice anyway.

My color choices represent the colors of the house my father built and I grew up in. This is a drawing of that house and a tribute to my father who passed away in 1994. My father built this house by himself while holding a full-time job to support his family.  He worked hard because he was a "dad" and that's what dads do.  He wasn't a contractor or a carpenter, and with a high school education, could build or fix anything that needed building or fixing.  I will always respect, appreciate , love, and miss... my dad.
