June 2, 1998 Update: First, because of all the E-mails concerning Katie's welfare after last Saturday's Storm. I want to let you all know if you have been watching the news and heard of the horrible tornado in our area that Katie's home and family are fine. The tornadoes missed them by about a mile. They were able to see them minutes before they merged and wiped out the little town of Spencer, South Dakota. Please keep the people of Spencer in your prayers they have lost everything, some of them even lost loved ones. Please remember in your prayers the 6 people who lost their lives to the tornado:
Elizabeth Burnham
Mildred Pugh
Ronald Selken
Bev Bintliff
Irene Yost
Gloria Satterlee

On a happier note, Katie got her new computer today. We didn't have to use any of the money from her fund. It was very generously donated by Jeff and David Simmons of Simmons Ministries. We are very thankful for their generosity and caring.
Also we want to thank Harvey B. Dorren for his donation toward the purchase of a digital camera. I am sure Katie will be having some new pictures of her horses soon!would also like to thank all of Katie's Cyber friends that dug into their pockets to help toward getting her computer. As I promised anything left after the computer was purchased will go toward Katie's medical bills. Thank you all so much for your generosity and also for restoring my faith in humanity. These last 5 months I have learned a lot about Cancer and Chemotherapy that I never wanted to know - but, I have also learned a lot about people and faith that I always wanted to know. You are all beautiful people.
Thank you, Sherry

June 28, 1998 Katie is in Mayo Clinic this week to have her condition re-evaluated. They will decide if they can continue her chemotherapy treatments or what they should do instead. Please keep Katie in your prayers all week. Katie has already learned to hate hospitals and this is an especially scary time.
