G-DS' ASSURANCE OF ETERNAL SALVATION
Scripture says that those that are Truly Saved can be Assured of their own Salvation.[1] A Doctrine that has come out of this is called Once Saved Always Saved. The Doctrine is an expression of Receiving this Assurance from G-d Himself.
There are persons who are opposed to this Doctrine. They will tell you that you can "lose your Salvation" if you do not follow their teaching and do the works that they tell you must be done so you can "stay Saved". Obviously, if they have received NO Assurance of their OWN Salvation themselves,[2] why would anyone be interested in their teaching? But many still are. They rail against Biblical Assurance of Salvation as if it did not exist and is not found in the Bible at all.
BEWARE OF LYING TEACHERS
Sometimes you will run across a False Teacher, who, when asked about Assurance, will say, "Absolutely! We believe in Assurance!" What they don't tell you is that you are "Assured" as long as you do as they say or conform to their rendition of "Conditional Salvation" (see below), otherwise you will "LOSE your Salvation"? That is "Assurance"? No, that person is a mamifest Liar and a Trickster who knows full well the True Definition but has rejected it and teaches twisted definitions for their own purposes to deceive the naive and unwary. Because False Teachers have a distorted view of Grace, they remain in darkness, usually clinging hard to whatever other false teachings come down the pipe as well. Learn to identify those ones very quickly and remove them from your midst.
Now let us look at:
THE TRUE SCRIPTURAL TEACHING
Let us look at Scriptures that Give Assurance to His Chosen Saints.
ASSURANCE FROM G-DS' WORD TO HIS SAINTS
But go thou thy way till the end [be]; and thou shalt rest, and stand in thy lot at the end of the days. Daniel 12:13
Which is the earnest of our Inheritance, until the Redemption of the Purchased possession, Unto the Praise of His Glory. Ephesians 1:14
I Will Come Unto you.
The Pharisees taught "Conditional Salvation" and rejected Assurance of Salvation.
The Roman Catholic Church still teaches "Conditional Salvation", (Salvation by works) and so does Islam.

Augustine discovered this teaching based on writings of the earlier Church fathers, whose writings he quoted profusely to substantiate the Accepted Teaching. Martin Luther, following Augustine, taught Assurance of Salvation, and Calvin did as well. Luther was alive at the time of John Calvin and read Calvins' works and agreed with them all 100%.
The Synod of Dort assembled all the Protestant Churches together in reponse to the teachings of Jacob Arminius.
The Synod of Dort assembled more theologians to decide an issue than had ever been gathered before in the entire history of the Church. They condensed Calvins' teachings (which Calvin had completely based on the early Church doctrines and Councils) and made them into T.U.L.I.P. which are now known as "The Five Points of Calvinism".
Because of persons who have either not done their homework or deliberately distorted history, many have been led to believe that "Calvinism" was some strange independent doctrine of John Calvin. That is a total lie. He based his works on Augustine and the early Church writings. These were not "his ideas" that he "dreamed up" alone. Don't believe any closed-minded bigot who refuses to accept the Truth.
Fighting against "Once Saved Always Saved" is a direct and obvious sign that these teachers and "bible thumpers" are not truly Protestant by any stretch of the imagination, and that they have not Received Assurance that they are Saved. To follow anyone who is not sure if they are Truly Saved or not makes no sense whatsoever.
Church History is completely on our side in this so have no fear at all. The ones that should fear are the ones that have Received no Assurance. They actually even dare sit in Judgment regarding another persons' Salvation when they have NO ASSURANCE of their OWN! This would be laughable if it were not so sick. Away with this theological oafishness and the blockheadedness that goes with it!!!
Truly Seeking Believer, do not fear any who oppose Assurance of your Salvation. Separate from them without hesitation.

By "Assurance" we do not mean some "emotional experience" that someone gets at the church house and disappears later, bringing that one back week after week so they can "feel Saved again" but no Promise of Assurance is ever Given.
Following teachers that have no Assurance (because they teach against it) is of no Spiritual value. Spiritual Growth is stunted. There is a very good chance these "teachers" are not even Saved themselves! How could they be if they have no Assurance? How can people accept their claim to being "teachers" at all, juggling peoples' souls as dice, when they aren't even Assured of their own Salvation?
These are the ones that are "so nice and sweet and extra loving" but inwardly are unregenerate unassured ravening wolves and hungry dogs after the sheep. They fly into rages and rail at the Truth. People who are in bondage to these false teachers are afraid to say one word in opposition. Fear motivates large donations. If you are Led to Donate, support Ministries that Comfort His people; not ones that keep you in bondage lacking the Promise of Assurance.
They foster "busy little religious beavers" who bustle about doing their "religious works" trying to "stay Saved". Then they try and appear before their "religious authorities" to show them how well they have done. What a farce!
Remember that keeping people in fear depending on the opinion of some so-called "teacher", some self-proclaimed "prophet" or some so-called "apostle" who everyone says "has the annointing" as to whether or not you are "still Saved" is extremely foolhardy to say the least! Seek G-d by fervent Prayer instead. He has Promised us His Blessing of Assurance.
