You have a very nice page. Why do you show no connections to the Rains family? The children of Henry Rains, 1750-1814, and his wife Martha "Patsy" Turner, married at least four Marsee children. My gggrandmother was Nancy Turner, the daughter of John Turne and Elizabeth Marsee. Nancy married Needham Rains, 1804-1849, Henry's son. His brother, Ballenger Rains, married Peggy Marsee. Henry Rains III, married Sophia Marsee. All these Marsee/Massey women, as well as Speedwell Marsee, who married Nancy Snuffer, he daughter of Patsy Rains, were from Knox County, which is now Bell County. There is a tremendous tie between the Turner, Rains, Massey/Marsee families.
