Genesis 1:26-31 (Confraternity of Christian Doctrine translation; 1961)
God said, "Let us make mankind in our image and likeness; and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, the birds of the air, the cattle, over all the wild animals and every creature that crawls on the earth."
God created man in His image. In the image of God He created him. Male and female he created them.
Then God blessed them and said to them, "Be
fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it. Have dominion
over the fish of the sea, the birds of the air, the cattle and all the
animals that crawl on the earth." God also said, "See, I give you
every seedbearing plant on the earth and every tree which has seed-bearing
fruit to be your food. To every wild animal of the earth, to every
bird of the air, and to every creature that crawls on the earth and has
the breath of life. I give the green plants for food." And
so it was, God saw that all He had made was very good. And there
was evening and morning, the sixth day.
Genesis 2:18-25 (Confraternity of Christian Doctrine translation; 1961)
Then the Lord God said, "It is not good that the man is alone; I will make him a helper like himself."
When the Lord God had formed out of the ground all the beasts of the field and the birds of the air, He brought them to the man to see what he would call them; for that which the man called each of them would be its name. The man named all the cattle, all the birds of the air and all the beasts of the field; but he found no helper like himself.
The Lord God cast the man into a deep sleep and, while he slept, took one of his ribs and closed up its place with flesh. And the rib which the Lord God took from the man, he made into a woman, and brought her to him. Then the man said, "She now is bone of my bone, and flesh of my flesh; she shall be called Woman, for from man she has been taken." For this reason a man leave his father and mother, and clings to his wife, and the two become one flesh.
Both the man and his wife were naked, but they felt no shame.
"I call heaven and earth today to witness against you: the blessing and the curse. Choose life, then that you and your descendants may live, - by loving the Lord, your God, heeding his voice, and holding fast to him." (Deut. 30:19) (Douay Version, 1961)

It is noteworthy and honorable that some folks are willing to stand up for a ban on Partial-Birth Abortion. Let us not forget that ordinary everyday Abortion is also murder. We must understand that murder is murder no matter the method. Because one method of abortion seems to be horrible does not justify the other methods. We should be horrified and sickened by any Abortion regardless of the method. The Fifth Commandment spells it out clearly: "Thou shalt not kill." A fetus is a person, a human being with a God given soul. Imagine the pain the Lord must feel when any Abortion occurs. Please contact both of your Senators and Representative, via letter or phone, to let them know how horrified you are that Abortions are legal and to stop Partial-Birth Abortions and all other Abortions as soon as possible. (It has become apparent that they do not respond to email therefore you will have more of an impact by writing or telephoning.)
