As such we believe that ANY German Shepherd Dog deserves every chance that they can be afforded. We stand in the place of breeders who choose not to act responsibly, that breed only for money and have no sense of ethics. We take dozens of "castoff" dogs each year. Those who's breeders' refuse to be responsible for.
We do not breed many litters maybe one in two or three years, most of our kennel space is allocated to rescued GSDs. We'd like to take this time to address to all breeders these codes, if you can please consider them:
Never breed more litters than you can afford to take each and every one of the puppies back from.
Take an active stance against puppy mills.
Only breed for your own lines, never because it appears to be profitable...it isn't for those of us
who take the animals you can't take back.
Never allow clients to purchase an animal if you have ANY doubts that they
will be able to care properly for the animal.
Never allow a client to purchase an animal as a gift for another party...this kennel has a lot of those
gifts.
Please, become a volunteer and rescue member.
There are a lot more suggestions I could make, I'm sure, however you understand where I'm going with all of this...We are responsible, for every animal that was a pet quality dog which wasn't altered and began adding to the general population.
I'm sure I'll only have offended people who really don't care about the breed anyway. For them it's about the dollar, getting those puppies gone before they're really ready to be gone, no training, minimal vaccinations, little or no worming,...and so on and so forth...YOU count on the ignorance of the public. I've taken it as a RIGHT that they be educated; primarily against YOU and your ilk. On the flip side, there are those who don't care about being educated, but you can bet they're just waiting for the first season of the puppy they brought from you to start competing for your clients.
Thanks for visiting the site.
Here is The GSD Rescue Organization so that you can get in touch with the one(s) in your area if necessary: GSD Rescue
We do have several GSDs in residence for placement, the requirements are just as stringent as those for
my own litters/dogs.
Rescues offered:
1. Male, adult, black and mahogany saddle back, still under training; do not know his background, does not seem to be social with young children, does not appear to be female dog aggressive.
Placement in adult home, or one with only teenage children, no small pets or small children. Not housebroken, doing well on basic obedience and leash training.
2. Female, adult, red sable, some dog agression, would be an excellent SAR prospect. In foster care at this time.
We have several calls a month for placement, unfortunatly I am unable to take all of the dogs that are being released. If you would be interested in either fostering a GSD or having a rescue companion please contact me regarding our services.
