Fifty-eight family, church, and community cemeteries have been surveyed in this volume. This survey represents that portion of northern Florence County, SC which was once part of old Darlington District, SC. The location of each cemetery is noted on a map. In addition, a short history or description of each cemetery is given. Surveys of now destroyed cemeteries are also included in this volume. Our survey has been compared to an earlier WPA survey (circa 1930's) and to the cemetery survey of Darlington County Historian Horace F. Rudisill (circa 1950's-1960's) to ensure accuracy.
