Many genealogical
researchers are surprised
and disappointed to learn that their ancestors and relatives did not
remain in Chesterfield
County, SC waiting to be found. Many of these individuals moved
across the state line
into Union County, NC. For those who felt that sense of
frustration, help is on the way.
James Pigg has ventured across the SC – NC line to abstract the Union
County, NC death
certificates of individuals with SC connections. This book follows
the same format as
Pigg’s Chesterfield Death Certificate series. My hope is that
this series will continue and
expand. I nominate Richmond County, NC as a logical expansion of
this series. Pigg
should be commended for his never-ending quest to make more and more
Chesterfield
related materials available to the average genealogical researcher.
