Fettucine & Meatballs


1 lb. VERY lean ground beef or ground turkey
1/2 tsp. garlic powder
1/2 tsp. basil
1/2 tsp. oregano
1/2 tsp. thyme
2 Tbsp. worchestershire sauce
1/4 cup egg substitute


Mix well and form into balls. Brown in a skillet. Drain any grease off. Set aside.


Combine:

2 cans Hunt's diced Tomatoes
same spices as above in same amounts
1 bay leaf
1 can tomato puree
1 onion (diced)
1 bell pepper (diced)
6 mushrooms (sliced)


Simmer these things together for 30 minutes on low. Add meatballs and simmer 1 hour. Remove bay leaf. Serve over hot cooked fettucine or linguine. Top with grated parmesan cheese if desired.
