Salisbury Steak
2 pounds ground chuck
1 tsp. Montreal Steak Seasoning
3 cloves fresh garlic (minced)
1 Tbsp. parsley flakes
3 Tbsp. worcestershire sauce
2 cans brown gravy OR 2 pkg. brown gravy mix (prepared)
1 Tbsp. chives
1 onion (sliced thin into rings)
Mix meat with steak seasoning, garlic, parsley and worcestershire sauce. Shape into oval patties. Broil in a preheated 350° oven for 35 minutes. Pat patties to remove all excess grease. Place in skillet. Top with slices of onion. Pour gravy over top. Sprinkle with chives. Simmer 25 minutes.
Note: We like these served with either mashed potatoes or long grain and wild rice. Also, for a change, I grill the patties instead of broiling them in the oven.
