Thirty-Six Years Together
by Barbara Philbrook

Thirty six years together that's what there's been,
and Darling I'd love there to be thirty six again.

Since that day we said "I Do",
I have never regretted being with you.

We've had our children and seen them each wed,
and not one moment of our life do I dread.

I have had times of worry and a tear or two,
but it was worth it all to spend my life with you.

We've memories of things that make us smile,
and a sigh or two, of that there's no denial.

But even if I could relive my entire life,
I'd choose to do so as your wife.

May the time God gives us each to remain,
be lived out together in Jesus' name.

May we continue to serve the Lord each and every day,
as we walk together along life's highway.

May our objective be to do God's will,
and to continue to praise Him even when the walk is uphill.

May everything we do be it together or apart,
be done with love for the other in our heart.

May our children be witnesses of our undivided love,
and know that it originated with God above.

May the influence we have on their lives,
reflect in each of them their husbands and wives.

May all we've done point them to God above,
and may they each recognize and accept His love.

Thirty six years together is just the start,
we've been offered an eternity never again to be apart.

Happy Anniversary Dear!
