A Friend
by
Barbara Philbrook
Would you
like to have a friend in whom you could always confide,
one who wouldn't judge you by what you say but what your
heart has inside?
Would you
like a friend who would recognize your suffering even
though you have a smile on your face, would you like to
have a friend who recognizes you sometimes feel out of
place?
Would you
feel good having a friend who even though matters can't
be changed makes you feel an inner calm, would you like
to have the assurance that you have a friend who can
appoint a guardian to keep you from all harm?
How would
you feel having the belief you could call on your friend
any moment of the day,
wouldn't it be a comfort to be promised he'd hear each
and every word you say?
What if I
told you there's someone who knows you so well he's aware
of the number of hairs on your head, what reaction would
you have if I told you he'd died and three days later he
rose from the dead?
Now I am
telling you there is someone who fits all these criteria
and more,
you can come to know him right now he's knocking on your
heart's door.
If you
believe what 's been said then welcome Jesus the Savior
in,
and in that very moment your eternal relationship can
begin.
