A Small
Act of Kindness
by
Barbara Philbrook
A small
act of kindness means more than the grandest intention,
more than the mightiest thought you forgot to
mention.
It is nice
to have intentions of kindness and love,
but if they are never done they can't be recognized
above.
You can
intend to feed a multitude and give them a drink,
but they do not reap the benefits of the things you
think.
You can
have dreams of providing much to many,
but God thought so much more of the lady giving her last
penny.
A small
act of kindness goes a very long way,
as each person passes it on day after day.
Just as
the pearl begins as a speck of sand,
so too an act of kindness grows once it is placed in the
receiver's hand.
So don't
just dream of monumental things that you can do,
a
small act of kindness will bring joy to all including
you.
