Bearers of Good News
by Barbara Philbrook

Bearers of good news that is what we are to be.
Sharing with others what Jesus did for you and me.

Tell it on the mountain and in the valley deep.
The news is too exciting for us to keep.

Go to your neighbors who you know so well.
Inform them there is a message you have to tell.

Go into the streets and into the stores.
Why you can even share it with those on the shores.

Someone hasn't heard yet, they are still in the dark.
They may be in a crowded mall or alone in a park.

Riding in an elevator or walking up the stairs.
You can share it with one person or people in pairs.

The time is short and everyone must be told.
This is not the time for bashfulness, we must be bold.

Ask God to place you where He wants you to be,
then share with everyone that you see.

Take up your banner, be the bearer of good news.
Let's invite them to church, let's fill up those pews.

Share the truth with those young and old.
Jesus can't come till everyone's been told.
