Being Imperfect
by Barbara Philbrook

Being imperfect we sometimes know doubt,
even though we know God can work all things out.

Being imperfect we may sometimes feel fear,
in spite of the fact that God is always near.

Being imperfect we may loose our cool,
and may even appear at times the fool.

Being imperfect we may neglect seeking to learn,
or perhaps not use the power to discern.

Being imperfect we may not see the needs of others,
even though we know all men are our brothers.

Being imperfect we dare not become haughty,
because any of us are capable of being naughty.

Being imperfect helps us to appreciate God's love,
looking forward to our eternal home above.
