Be Still My Mind
by Barbara Philbrook

Be still my mind I refuse to give in to doubt,
God had given me victory and I order misgivings out.

I'll not give you the right to disturb my peace,
I order you to be quiet I order your wanderings to cease.

Nothing said or done can cause me distress,
instead what I choose to think can bring me happiness.

I refuse to allow doubt or fear to plague me,
I have the power since Jesus gave me the victory.

I choose instead to dwell on God's Holy Word,
and the loving positive things I have heard.

God sent a Comforter to reside within,
and I can call out to Him when your meanderings begin.

It is I who decide on what to spend my time,
God has given me this right and I claim what is mine.

I am determining within that I shall forever be set free,
of letting my mind wander negatively.

I shall look for and dwell on what God intends me to,
as I anxiously surrender to do what He wants me to do.

Be still my mind meditate on what God wants me to be,
yielding always to serve Him willingly.
