Loved Ones Bicker
by Barbara Philbrook

Loved ones bicker, they tear each other apart,
forgetting the love deep in their heart.

A squabble, a disagreement, a careless word,
or even an excuse that was not heard.

The matter over which they disagree,
is often lost in the rucus you see.

There have been families who hold a grudge,
neither giving in not so much as a nudge.

People not speaking, not a single word,
and yet neither one remembering why this occurred.

The rest of the family feeling torn apart,
due to the love for both deep in their heart.

This is not right, it has to stop now,
and if we all seek God He will show us how.

An apology extended when two disagree,
can keep families running so smoothly.

Having respect for one another,
is how Christians should treat each other.

We can all learn it is fine to disagree,
but let's determine do so more respectfully.

We can not control this on our own,
but by the Holy Spirit in us the way will be shown.

Loved ones bicker but they needn't pull each other apart,
this has to be determined in our heart.
