Born Again
by Barbara Philbrook

Born again but hadn't yet seen the dawn,
life for me just seem to continue on.

I accepted salvation and received the new birth,
but I walked the same old dusty paths of this earth.

Perhaps it could have come even more quickly,
but then would this new dawn mean as much to me.

A whole new world is beginning to brightly shine,
I've wiped my feet and left the dust of the past behind.

The new dawn is not creeping it's bursting forth in front of me,
Lord I thank you for all I'm allowed to see.

I see and desire all that you offer to us in love,
pour out your blessing on me from above.

I am not unworthy because Jesus made it so,
give me what you will Lord and teach me what I should know.

Let me serve you Father in my greatest capacity,
and in so doing bring honor and glory to Thee.
