Bring it to the cross and leave it there,
it is not a pain you have to bear.

Bring it to the cross and give it to Jesus.
He has promised that He will relieve us.

There is nothing you have to bear all alone,
this is a truth our Bible has shown.

Jesus tells us bring it to the cross and leave it there.
His burden is light and yours He's willing to share.

Now no where does He say He'll come take it from you,
the bringing it to the cross is yours to do.

Then you must leave it there and depart.
Don't hold on to even the littlest part.

Surrender it all to our loving Savior today.
He'll give you the ability as you kneel to pray.

You've been trying to carry it all alone,
instead of surrendering it as we've been shown.

Bring it to the cross and leave it my friend,
though things may not change your suffering will end.
