We Celebrate
by Barbara Philbrook

We celebrate the founding of our nation,
yet we forget it was built on God's and man's relation.

We were established by God-fearing faithful men,
and we should pray our country will go back to being that again.

We sin every day more and more.
We should be asking God to bring us back to where we were before.

Babies are murdered and it is called "the right to choose",
and sick people are being assisted the battle of life to lose.

We don't pray or learn of the commandments in school.
Kids are being taught that their desires rule.

Father give us the words as promised in Exodus 4:12.
Help us now, we can't trust in ourselves.

Help us to see we need Your divine direction,
if we hope to strive toward lives nearing perfection.

Give us the faith needed to believe,
then open our hearts that we may receive.

Without You in our lives there is no hope,
and heavenly Father we are hanging at the end of our rope.

Rescue us Father, is our sincerest plea,
without You in it, we are a floundering country.

Thank You for the promise in Matthew 18:19.
We know because we agree the answer will be seen.
