Change my perspective Father I pray,
teach me to be more positive each day.

Change the way I look on life,
help me to see hope where I now find strife.

Help me to find encouragement in correction,
not taking it as a sign of rejection.

Help me to hear the concern offered to me,
when someone points out an error they see.

Give me the gift of discernment today,
so when given direction I hear it the right way.

Cut out the needless sensitivity I feel,
allowing me to accept help when the offer is real.

Block out that which I should not see,
and make a more compassionate person of me.

Help me to concentrate on what I may do,
to draw lost souls home to You.

Change my perspective and help me to be,
a willing and loving servant to Thee.
