Day By Day
by Barbara Philbrook

Day by day this is how I try to live,
awaking each new morning seeing what I can give.

Can I give joy to someone sad and forlorn,
can I inspire them to carry on?

Can I help one who is unable to do it alone,
can I share the love I've been shown?

Can I wipe the tears that another has shed,
can I cradle someone's weary head?

Can I include others in what I do,
helping them to feel a sense of accomplishment too?

Can I tell someone about my Savior,
how He died to pay for my sinful behavior?

Can I introduce others to my comforter and guide,
telling them how to invite Him inside?

Can I share my knowledge of where I'll eventually be,
living with Jesus for eternity?

Can I interest others so they'll desire the same,
and call out for salvation in Jesus' name?

Can I share with the world the hope and security,
that my loving Jesus has provided me?
