Father I'm elated with the news I received today,
it proves you listened and heard me as I knelt to pray.

It never ceases to amaze me Father that with all You have to do,
you hear every single prayer I offer up to you.

You assure us of this in your Holy Word,
and yet I've been amazed each time it's occurred.

You did the same for those who lived in biblical ages,
the facts are written throughout all the pages.

So why should such love and devotion be so amazing to see,
because never having known love, it still bewilders me.

How you could have sent your only son to die for others sin,
the whole concept still is seeping in.

But the gift of faith that is growing day by day,
I'm learning that faith assures good answers when we pray.

Thank you for the faith and for all the great things you do,
but thank you most of all because you are you!
