I have a Father in Heaven whom I will one day see,
but until that time I know that he looks over me.

I know there are mansions there and one of the deeds is in my name,
and if you accept Jesus you will have the very same.

My name is written on a page in the Book Of Life,
now this does not exempt me from knowing trials and strife.

Actually the opposite is quite true,
once you accept Jesus as your Savior Satan surely will try to discourage you.

But if you keep your mind on Jesus as you should,
he'll see you through it all as he said he would.

Now until the time when I'll be called home to rest,
I intend to serve my Lord and give him my very best.

I write on paper the things that God has taught me,
in hopes that those who do not know him may his truths see.

Even if  one lost soul can be led to salvation by the words of his story,
that's one more to praise Jesus and sing of his glory.

Yes I have a Father whom I will one day see,
and I pray that until he calls me home that I may serve him heartily.
