God's Words
by Barbara Philbrook

God's words go into the poetry I write,
He inspires me both day and night.

Now I seldom understand  why,
and to tell the truth I don't try.

I just accept what He inspires,
and hope they set someone's heart afire.

I pray to ease an ache or a pain,
or give someone hope once again.

I want to share what I've received,
since the first moment I believed.

I want to give a reason for life,
to those who are overcome with strife.

I want to brighten someone's day,
by teaching them to kneel and pray.

I want to open eyes that can't yet see,
that His love is offered for free.

I want to increase the number going home,
and leave Satan here all alone.

I want to reach every poor lost soul,
and make them feel completely whole.

God's words are His gift to me,
and I want to share them so the world can see.

Can see His love and His offer of salvation,
and begin with Him a brand new relation.

When that is accomplished and there's no more to tell,
I can then say to Satan "Go straight to  ----- Welllll!!!?
