God Won't Ask
by Barbara Philbrook

God won't ask did they do something wrong to you.
No, He'll ask "What good thing for them did you do?".

God won't ask did you hear anything negative today.
No, His question will be "What positive words did you say?"

God won't wonder who did something to aggravate your life,
instead He'll wonder how you relieved another's strife.

God doesn't need to measure your pain today.
He's recording the number you sought help for as you knelt to pray.

God knows every ache, pain and strife we feel.
What matters more to Him is if it is Jesus' love we reveal.

This life we live is not a dress rehearsal.
What we do this time is not subject to reversal.

We don't get a chance to come back and do it again.
We all have this one opportunity to invite Jesus in.

To live this life in service to others,
inviting all we meet to become our brothers.

Ignore Satan's temptations to take our eyes off of God.
We know He's just jealous because Jesus is Lord.

God won't ask if the burden was too heavy to bear.
No, He'd rather we tell other's He's there.

So invite the Holy Spirit in and give Him full reign,
because soon it will be time for Jesus to come again.
