The good and the bad inside of you and me.
They are a part of what we happen to be.

We can only make the best of one another.
Love what's good and ignore the other.

We can expand on that we find appealing,
and then hope we'll overcome faults our Lord is revealing.

We can determine to surrender to our heavenly Father,
and as to learning try even harder.

We can seek diligently His truth to find,
and He promises to open and expand our mind.

We can not change what we are on our own.
The truths of this have been shown.

We must surrender and a new being God will start,
the instant we invite Jesus into our heart.

The changing is the job of the Lord,
causing all the heavenly host to applaud.

The changing is done from within,
the sooner you surrender, the sooner it will begin.

The good and the bad are what we happen to be,
and Jesus already died for the bad you see!
