I Have Hope
by Barbara Philbrook

There is sorrow and sadness in each days living,
there are angers that fester that desperately need forgiving.

There is loneliness and sickness that could get one down,
there are confusions  and problems that could cause one to frown.

There is hunger and lack of money for bills and rent,
there is guilt over past sins that we need to repent.

There are people who actually live on the street,
there are things going on too outrageous to repeat.

There are diseases so horrific we have no cure,
we have partial abortions an act which God must truly abhor.

We see children graduate from school unable to read,
we set rules and regulations that some won't heed.

We have fires burning that have scorched thousands of acres,
we tell the story of salvation and have been accused of being fakers.

I have hope though and so should you,
we know we have a Savior and that what he offers to each of us is true.

I have hope that if we just believe and keep spreading the word,
soon there will be an outpouring of folks who have heard.

I have hope that if we continue to believe and plant those seeds,
God will open their eyes and provide their needs.

I have hope that if we do all that He's told us in His Word,
that we will witness the greatest awakening that has ever occurred.

I have hope I know that the end is near,
soon Jesus will be coming soon He will be here.
