Have I Been Remiss?
by Barbara Philbrook

Have I been remiss in what I've had to say?
Father I need your assurance today.

I have sat at my computer for several years,
writing of Your love to alleviate other's fears.

I repeatedly share the salvation story,
constantly giving You the honor and glory.

I tell all of the world of Your great love,
and offer invitations for them to be with us above.

I tell of Jesus' humble birth,
and explain how He died due to holding us in such worth.

I explain that the price of our sins was paid,
as He in a borrowed grave was laid.

I joyfully tell how He rose again,
of how He'll return though we aren't sure when.

I explain we are given faith to believe,
and how it is a free gift that we receive.

I am sure to explain of the choice,
that each of us must make with our own voice.

I read  two messages I received today,
they both had some harsh things to say.

Telling of love is not the way to go,
it is sin and condemnation we must show.

Father the words I write are from You to me,
I just write them out for others to see.

Have I been remiss in what I've had to say,
or must we each do our jobs in our own way?
