Heaven's Tomorrow
by Barbara Philbrook

We can praise God during pain and sorrow,
because we are assured we will see heaven's tomorrow.

We are shown life here is but the twinkling of an eye,
compared to time in the great bye and bye.

We can praise God during our distress,
not due to, but despite it, because of tomorrow's happiness.

We know our tears will be dried and our sorrow forgotten,
each day makes the time needed to wait here shorten.

Heaven's tomorrow, where we will be reunited,
where homecoming will make each heart delighted.

Never again to shed tears, feel pain or sorrow,
we all wait expectantly for heaven's tomorrow.

To see those who went on before,
those we've missed since they passed through heaven's door.

To have the ability to do what we could only wish before,
and to be able to serve God forevermore.

We can sing God's praises both night and day,
for we know heaven's tomorrow is on the way.

We can bow our head and raise our voice,
for we know we've each made the perfect choice.

We've chosen eternity and heaven's tomorrow,
and it gives us the strength to face today's sorrow.

We can praise God during trials and adversity,
because we know heaven's tomorrow we'll all see.

Heaven's tomorrow, here's how to make your reservation,
just bow your head and accept Jesus' invitation.
