He Said
by Barbara Philbrook

I was lonely and felt unworthy of Love my life was full of dread,
then I read in the Bible "Believe in me and salvation you will receive" He said.

There was much unhappiness I'd been rejected maybe I'd be better off dead,
"All things work for good to them that loveth the Lord" He said.

The burdens were too heavy to endure worries were filling my head,
"Come to me all who are heavy laden I will give you rest" He said.

I was sick and the Doctors couldn't help me so a prayer I said,
"I have heard thy prayer  I will heal thee" He said.

There was so much sadness I cried a river of tears each night in my bed,
"I shall wipe away all tears from their eyes" He said.

We lost our beautiful home and lived in a lesser one instead,
"In my father's house there are many mansions I go to prepare a place for you"  He said.

I had to make a decision go on or turn back I went on and now Mama's dead,
" there is a peace that passeth understanding given by God" He said.

I wished I 'd lived when Jesus was here so I could best serve him is what I said,
"I came not to be served but to serve" He said.

No matter what goes on in your life no matter what is done or said,
Just go to His Holy Bible and read there will be an answer for you He said.

He had the Holy Spirit guide the authors of the Bible so you can be sure that what you read, is what He said.

Will you be in Heaven yes or no there's no need to dread,
"For God so loveth the world that he gave his only begotten son that whosoever believeth in him shall not  perish but have everlasting life" He said.

But I'm not worthy I must change first I once said,
"God loves you  as you are call on him  He will change you from within." He said.
